Working systems
for clinicians
who already work
hard enough.

Portiko publishes practice systems for the operational realities of UK healthcare — evidence preparation for the GMC Portfolio Pathway, KPI tracking for CQC compliance, and other documents that should already exist but don’t. Built by people who understand what the work is actually like.

01 — Currently published

Two systems available now.

Each is a complete working system — documents, spreadsheets, and templates that fit together — not a single file or an upsell funnel.

CESR Evidence System

A complete preparation system for the GMC Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR / CEGPR) — for IMG and SAS doctors applying to the Specialist Register.

Eleven coherent components that turn an 18–24 month evidence-gathering project into a structured workflow. Evidence architecture, progress tracking, real exemplars, submission workflows. Built around the current Good Medical Practice 2024 framework and the GMC's specialty-specific guidance, with current GMC guidance on AI use built in from the start.

  • Master Guide & 24-month Roadmap with phase-by-phase gate reviews
  • Evidence Tracker spreadsheet with HLLO, GMP and KSE coverage dashboards
  • Document Organisation Guide with full anonymisation protocol
  • Reflection Template Library (ten structured reflection types)
  • Exemplar Library — annotated weak-vs-strong calibration sets
  • Referee Briefing Pack and Submission Readiness Checklist
  • Bundle Master Index and Cross-Reference Matrix Excel templates

GovernReady

A KPI tracking and clinical governance Excel tool for CQC-regulated services — for care homes, GP practices, dental practices, mental health services, and domiciliary care.

Twenty-eight KPIs across all five CQC domains, with RAG status, cross-sheet formulas, conditional formatting, and protected cells. A demo workbook seeded with realistic data is included so registered managers can see the tool in use before committing it to their own service.

  • 28 KPIs structured across the five CQC domains
  • RAG status with conditional formatting against thresholds you set

What’s coming next.

Four further systems are in scoping or active development — specialty extensions of CESR, and standalone kits for the working artefacts of UK postgraduate medical training. Subscribe below to be told when each ships.

  1. CESR Specialty Layers

Specialty-specific extensions to the CESR Evidence System, beginning with the highest-volume Portfolio Pathway specialties. Each layer adds the actual HLLO list for that specialty, specialty-specific evidence guidance, worked exemplars in clinical context, and known specialty failure modes drawn from college feedback.

  2. Reflective Practice Library

A multi-specialty library of structured reflection prompt frameworks for UK postgraduate trainees — CBDs, Mini-CEXes, complaints, deaths, near-misses, MDT discussions, M&M. Frameworks and prompts only, in line with current GMC guidance on AI-generated reflective content.

  3. Clinical Audit & QIP Kit

A working kit for clinical audit and quality improvement projects across UK postgraduate training. PDSA cycle templates, audit-cycle frameworks, data collection and presentation templates, with worked examples per specialty area. Less seasonal than the portfolio kits; every trainee needs one.

  4. ST3 Portfolio Kits

Specialty-specific portfolio preparation kits for ST3/ST4 specialty training applications — built around current scoring frameworks for the most competitive specialties (anaesthetics, cardiology, radiology, ophthalmology, GP) and shipped in time for the November application cycle.

03 — Philosophy

A few principles, applied consistently.

No transformation theatre.

Healthcare is hard. We don’t claim to revolutionise it. Our products solve specific operational problems for working clinicians, and they solve them well. That’s the whole promise.

Built by people who do the work.

Every product is built by clinicians or by people who have spent years embedded in clinical environments. We don’t produce software for sectors we don’t understand from the inside.

Compliant by default.

UK GDPR, NHS DSP Toolkit, MHRA SaMD framework, current GMC guidance on AI use. Compliance is a starting position for our products, not an upsell.

Documents over dashboards.

Where a Word document or an Excel workbook does the job better than a web app, we ship a Word document or an Excel workbook. Format follows function. Most clinical work happens in offline files; our products meet that reality.
