No. The KPIs are organised around the CQC framework, but the underlying tracking is useful for any healthcare service that wants to manage clinical governance systematically. Some private healthcare services, occupational health services, and corporate health programmes use it without being CQC-registered.
Yes. The workbook is fully editable. KPI names, thresholds, formulas, RAG bands, and reporting cadence can all be modified to match your service. The 28 default KPIs are the ones we see most consistently across CQC-regulated services in the UK; treat them as a starting point, not a constraint.
No. Nothing guarantees a positive CQC inspection. What GovernReady does is make your governance evidence visible, structured, and ready to share with an inspector — which removes one common source of poor inspection outcomes (good services that struggle to evidence their good work). Whether your underlying clinical and operational practice is good enough for a positive inspection is a separate question that no spreadsheet can answer.
